Mr. Musslewhite is the general manager of our Business Intelligence and Analytics membership programs, overseeing all of our initiatives to drive member performance improvement through better access to data and analytics. Formerly, Mr. Musslewhite led our Strategic Planning and New Product Development group, where he was responsible for the introduction of new programs and ventures as well as developing the firm’s growth strategy. Prior to joining the Advisory Board, Mr. Musslewhite was employed at McKinsey & Company, where as an associate principal he served a range of clients across consumer products and other industries, and was a leader in the firm’s sales and marketing practice.

Tom Peterson

Mr. Peterson is responsible for overseeing operational enhancement and improvement strategies, ensuring member satisfaction, and upholding the quality of our Business Intelligence offerings. Prior to assuming this role, Mr. Peterson served as the Executive Director of the Advisory Board’s OptiLink division and ran the Advisory Board’s H*Works division. Previous to his employment with the Advisory Board Company, Mr. Peterson was a vice president of network services for HealthSouth Corporation.

Colleen Mahoney

Colleen Mahoney, MBA

Ms. Mahoney focuses on improving clinical operations performance by implementing best practices to address productivity, and premium labor challenges, as well as Emergency Department throughput and inpatient capacity management. Ms. Mahoney has over 35 years in the health care profession. She served as vice president of operations for two different hospital organizations, where she had responsibility for numerous clinical and support services. She had significant success in both clinical and financial excellence through excellent patient satisfaction scores, receiving JCAHO accreditation with commendation, Six Sigma process improvement, and achieving strong productivity, and financial targets. Prior to her role as Vice President, her primary clinical roles were as staff pharmacist and director of pharmacy operations. She maintains an active license as a pharmacist, and regularly practices.

Dan Gaines

Mr. Gaines leads the software engineering function by developing, releasing, and maintaining software applications to meet business needs. He has 20 years of consulting and software development experience specializing in the design, implementation, and management of analytic systems and data warehouses. Mr. Gaines was a senior principal and the practice technology officer for the health life sciences practice at Knightsbridge Solutions, and held a leadership position in the business intelligence practice at Answerthink Inc. Prior to his consulting career, Mr. Gaines managed the software development and data warehousing efforts for MediQual Systems, a health care analytics company now a part of Cardinal Health.

Michael Yoon

Mr. Yoon manages the ongoing support and maintenance of the Advisory Board’s Compass Business Intelligence products. Prior to joining the Advisory Board, Mr. Yoon was the chief technology officer at Contact Networks, a start-up firm he co-founded. Previously he was vice president of technology at ArsDigita, another start-up, and was a software architect with Sapient Corporation, an IT consulting firm.

Tom Kleman

Mr. Kleman is an Executive Director supporting the Advisory Board’s Business Intelligence group. Prior to joining the Advisory Board, Mr. Kleman worked as a senior financial executive at two New York-area integrated delivery systems. He also led post acute care consulting practices at Ernst and Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
