Member Services

The majority of Advisory Board services are available on a membership basis only. The principle behind the membership policy is one of long-term commitment. Our shared interest is in maintaining a permanent board of the world's preeminent health care providers, benefiting each from the others' experiences across extended periods of time. Our intention is to serve members so fully that there is little question of long-term commitment.

Marketing

Our Marketing team introduces the firm’s services to potential members and builds upon ongoing relationships. In forging ties with senior executives, our staff members take a consultative, relationship-building approach—treating prospective members with the same service ethic that is the hallmark of the firm's relations with its existing members. Career opportunities in marketing include:

Marketing Associate

Marketing Associates have the unique opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge and fundamental business skills in marketing, sales, writing, and communication. An entry-level position, Associates in Health Care Member Services will be responsible for day-to-day interaction with our prospective members and play a major role in the business development process, from initial contact with a prospective member to facilitating momentum of a positive decision toward membership.

Associate Director/Director, Marketing

Associate Directors and Directors market The Advisory Board's programs to prospective members and secure new member and client relationships for the firm. In this entrepreneurial role, they are responsible for driving the acquisition of new business within an assigned territory through a consultative selling process in which they build relationships with senior executives to market Advisory Board membership programs.

Account Management

The Account Management team fulfills the firm’s primary goal of delivering the highest quality service to our members. Our staff manage the delivery of our offerings, ensuring that our partner institutions unlock the full value of their investment in best practice ideas and leadership development. The Account Management division has ultimate responsibility for managing member relationships, diagnosing members’ service needs, developing annual service plans, and implementing member servicing strategies. Account management staff also manage the account-renewal process, ensuring that our business is meeting its quarterly and annual revenue objectives.

Relationship Manager, Account Management

Relationship Managers serve as a member's primary liaison to the firm. They teach members how to best utilize Advisory Board services, preview upcoming research, facilitate contact with our research staff, and renew annual membership commitments. The Manager plays a critical role in crafting strategy on how to best serve the members and support our relationships with the executive team.

Associate Director, Account Management

Associate Directors lead our member retention efforts, manage a team of Relationship Managers and develop proactive strategic initiatives to continually improve member relations. Associate Directors host member executives at Advisory Board meetings and address specific member concerns through our research service.
